The relatively well heeled Lake Ridge addition has its own sub-city council that represents them. Areas like Sleep Hollow and others have no representation.
The latest event to go in the pristine, pure of heart, holy ones on the hill addition’s favor is the withdrawal of items related to Case 17-18 and Case 17-19 affecting land at the southeast and southwest corner of Mansfield Road and Lake Ridge Parkway from consideration by the Planning and Zoning Commission. If left to fail passage the owners would have to wait a year for it to be brought back. This item apparently contains some scary things for Lake Ridge and so it was killed by influential sources! The property is zoned commercial. However, 300 apartments at the top of the hill at Strauss Road and FM 1382 are apparently not all that scary!

How nice it would be to have a Valero or 7-11 at Lake Ridge and Old Mansfield Road. The pelotonistas, during a bike rally, could stop in and get a slurpy and some could fuel up as they go to and from Grand Prairie, where they live, and clog up West Belt Line at Hwy 67 trying to get to Dallas. Those from Grand Prairie appreciate the 4-line roadway the citizens of Cedar Hill taxes provided them!
